We are excited to announce that from June 10-13, 2026 we met around the theme:
Spinning out of Control: Grounding Care Beyond Polarization
In a time marked by deepening ideological and theological divides and spiraling
reactionary responses, pastoral theologians and spiritual care practitioners offer
hope and grounded, courageous presence. This year’s conference invites reflection
on how pastoral theology can respond to the fragmentation of our families,
communities, and institutions with practices of care that transcend ideological
boundaries. We gather to explore how pastoral theology can exist rooted in justice,
compassion, and relational integrity, even as the cultural landscape spins with
uncertainty. Together, we work to uplift our field as deeply attuned to the
distressing realities of those most impacted.
